The typical candidate is expected to function as an architect/technical leader (not project leader) to work with a team to design, code, test, and troubleshoot several extensions to the system. Some typical skills required are:
o Experience doing Web development using ASP, HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, and XSD
o Performing Client-server development using VB 6.0
o Experience coding .NET Framework 3.5,
VB.net, ASP.net, Ajax, Jquery
o Experience designing Object Oriented systems using UML
o Experience doing SQL server-side programming including stored procedure, view, and SSIS package creation using Microsoft SQLServer 2005
o Crystal 10
o Experience writing technical specifications and user documentation
o Business Analysis (Includes Functional/Technical Documentation)

Assignment

Candidate will participate in the development of the Feeder Sign On project for the Electric Operations organization at Con Edison. One of the responsibilities of Electric Operations is to repair distribution feeders. The purpose of the Feeder Sign On project is to automate the distribution feeder repair process which includes cable cutting, pulling and splicing tasks.

Candidate will be actively engaged in the entire application development process: business requirements, analysis and design, development, testing, and deployment. Candidate must be highly motivated and is expected to be proactive in the development of the application.

Minimum 2 years utility experience with an emphasis on distribution feeder processing and scheduling.

Minimum 5 years experience performing/utilizing the items listed in the Skills Required section below.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Candidate must be available to work overtime and weekends if necessary.

JOB Title: Senior Lead Java Developer

The second is the Team Lead and this bill rate is open. Job description:

Senior Java Lead-leadership skills are needed, will provide direction and technical guidance to the Java team in Pittsburgh.

*5 years plus of Java, J2EE, Hibernate and SQL. Postgres experience will be a strong plus. Experience developing API's.

*Active Directory experience is a requirement-will develop a solution using active directory that includes single sign on and API's that allows navigation in a Web application currently maintained by a third party vendor. This is necessary because the third party vendor we are replacing has stated that the single sign on and the API's are proprietary and this necessitates this re-engineering effort.
