Job Title : Unix System administrator
Duration : 2+ Year
Location : Long Island, NY and Warren NJ.

Unix Production Support Contractor
The hours will be 2nd or third shift (nights) as most of the production work is at peak form 6PM to 6AM.
SKILL SET LEVEL Comments Version
Database --> DB2 Intermediate Should have used tools like DB2 Client/Toad or Should have Knowledge on them V9.1
Dat abase --> Oracle Beginner/Intermediate Basic Knowledge 10g
Database --> Sql Server Beginner/Intermediate Basic Knowledge 2008
SQL Beginner/Intermediate Should have written at least basic SQL queries and Mostly select statements using JOINS to retrieve Data from diff tables
AIX ( Unix ) Intermediate Should have worked on any Unix Env and be were comfortable on any Unix/Aix/Solaris Boxes
Scripting Beginner/Intermediate Basic Scripting Knowledge
Windows Intermediate Should be comfortable working on Windows 2003 servers
Mainframe Beginner/Intermediate Basic Knowledge
Websphere Beginner/Intermediate Basic Knowledge on Websphere (On nodes and Applications )
Java Beginner Good to have
Problem solving abilities Strong Ability to quickly analyze an issue
MS Word/Excel Intermediate Solid Knowledge
Check Processing Basic Knowledge of Check Processing

Job Responsibilities include:
Create and track system trouble requests (STR's), create matrix for all severity 1, 2 tickets to discuss with technology management as well as business management on a weekly basis.
Creating PMR requests with IBM and SEI vendors for all the issues related to their product application. Work closely with the vendor management to get all the code changes for raised PMR.
Experience on issues related to Apache Tomcat and IIS servers.
Monitored window servers using cluster Manager.
