Short Description:

Hours: 8am to 5pm- Resource needed to support Polaris effort.

 

Complete Description:

·         This job is responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements from business users in order to create various types of models representing several levels of detail.

·         Identify and define processes and data, integrating it into an enterprise perspective with standardized representation.

·         Communicate model throughout the life cycle of a project, interface with business users and technology teams to build enterprise solutions.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

1.      Gather requirements from business users by utilizing various methods. (E.g. conducting interviews, JAD sessions and examining file layouts, use-cases, object diagrams, sample reports, and technical specs.)

2.      Analyze requirements utilizing various methods. (E.g. sample data from SQL queries and reports, prototype screens, sourcing information, and other data models.)

3.      Transform the business requirements into business rules and validate with business users.

4.      Create various types of models based on the requirements/business rules.

5.      Conduct and participate in model reviews, ensuring that models accurately reflect the business rules and policies to satisfy the business requirements.

6.      Integrate models and ensure definitions are consistent across the enterprise for share ability and reusability.

7.      Sign-off and hand-off models to appropriate customers.

8.      Serve as a steward to guide the integration of data and process across the enterprise.

9.      Participate in various roles on the Enterprise Data Council, as required. (e.g. Document, research, present, assess impact of and follow up on data council issues.)

10.  Serve as the point of contact for any changes or updates to the Data model.

11.  Participate and provide guidance/feedback in physical design reviews.

12.  Develop, maintain, and apply standards for enterprise modeling, including reviews, naming conventions and XML naming standards.

13.  Produce standard reports and deliverables to communicate with project teams and business users.

14.  Manage and catalog models and metadata for easy updates and retrieval.

15.  May perform other duties as assigned.
