SCOPE OF SERVICES
Code, evaluate, install, implement and debug web applications built with ASP.NET 4. Code, evaluate, install, implement and debug web applications created from the Visual Studio 2010 MVC framework and jQuery. As a jQuery programmer, you will also need to be able to: (i) create HTML/CSS code from PSDs, (ii) create drag-and-drop interfaces, (iii) create graphs. The candidate is expected to have specific experience on other projects in which the candidate implemented user services, consumed and manipulated data from SQL Server 2008 instances, as well as deployed, configured, and secured web applications via IIS.

Duties include:
* Consuming and manipulating data: Access and manipulate data from SQL Server 2008 by creating and using
ad hoc queries and stored procedures; and access and manipulate data from stores via ADO.NET.
* Testing and debugging: Create unit test plans; implement tracing; and debug, rework, and resolve defects in code.
* Deploying web applications: Plan the deployment of web applications; create setup programs that install web
applications and allow them to be uninstalled; deploy web applications; and add assemblies to the global assembly cache.
* Supporting web applications: Optimize the performance of web applications; diagnose and resolve errors and issues.
* Configuring and securing web applications: Configure web applications; configure security for web applications;
configure authorization; configure and implement caching; configure and implement session state; and install and configure server services.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

The candidate must have created at least one project that involved development and deployment of a web application built with the Visual Studio 2010 MVC framework including transfer of the project from a development computer to a production server.

Previous experience creating and deploying new or revised, but very large/complex (e.g., more than 20 pages) .NET web sites, .NET web application programming, ASP.NET, AJAX within the context of ASP.NET, experience with building user interfaces with jQuery, experience programming with Visual Studio 2010 IDE either to create ASP.NET web-applications or Visual Basic to create desktop applications or C# to create desktop applications. Previous multi-project experience writing SQL Server 2008 stored procedures.

Summary:
Working under the supervision of a Technical Lead, the Engineer will be part of a small team that is responsible for the design and implementation of numerous tools for a group within Operations.

Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, support various 3rd party tools.
Design/implement tools (backend and frontend) for both Systems Administrators and internal customers.
Automating System Administration tasks, and streamlining maintenance workflows.
Develop dashboards, alerts and system monitors.

Required:
Strong automation and tool building experience.
Python (2.x) +3 years.
OO design, interface design and code modularity.
Windows and Linux administration.
Web/UI development.
Django experience.
Web services implementation.
Database design/optimization.
Version control systems.
Automated testing and testing frameworks.

  • Protocols: BGP, OSPF, RTP, SIP, FTP, TFPT, SSH, DHCP, DNS, Telnet, 802.11a/b/g/n, VPN, MPLS, DotQ Trunking  and VLANs.
  • Know how to trouble shoot T1's and Metro Ethernet.
  • Know how to Trouble shoot network issues.
  • Know how priority queuing works.
  • Know how to verify Configurations.
  • Know how to trouble shoot routing issues.
  • Have a good knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • Have knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • How to use WireShark to capture packets and trouble shoot network issues.
  • How to Remote desktop into servers and computers
