Systems Engineer

Location: San Bruno, CA

Duration: 6 Months+

Experience:
10+ years overall information technology experience

7+ years of system administration and engineering experience within large batch integration infrastructures

3+ years of hands-on experience in using IBM Datastage (Server and Parallel Canvas) for interface development and performance tuning

5+ years working within delivery projects and detailed understanding or project development lifecycles

Experience within operational support role and detailed understanding of support processes and considerations

Demonstrated ability to negotiate acceptable integration solutions across development teams

Expert knowledge of IBM Datastage administration, configuration, and troubleshooting

Conceptual knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concept.

Ability to drive batch inte*** Max Length Reached ***gration architecture and innovation and the ability to think outside of the box

Ability to operate in a 24 by 7 - periodic on-call rotation production environment

Conceptual knowledge of foundational messaging (MQ), file transfer, and database interaction technologies

Command-line experience working within AIX, Linux, and HP-UX

Full lifecycle software development experience

Excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across the IT organization

Should be able to work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Self motivated and able to work with only moderate supervision.

Experience managing performance against metrics and SLAs

Demonstrated estimation and planning for engineering / administration efforts

Administration or engineering experience with WebSphere MQ 6 or higher

Conceptual knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts

Worked within global delivery model and collaborated with engineering teams in India

Understanding or experience with iterative development methodologies such as XP, RUP, or Agile

Previous experience building high-performance engineering team.
