Data Modeler Austin Texas 6 months plus

$60/hr

Senior data architect with minimum of 5 to 7 years experience working in enterprise data warehousing. Candidate should possess strong data modeling experience and should be prepared to comment on effective data modeling and design techniques. Candidate must possess excellent database design and development skills working with MPP platforms and should have experience in designing/building effective data warehouse/data mart solutions. Candidate should have in-depth experience working with financial data types, attributes and relationships.

Requiered Skills: . minimum of 5 to 7 years experience working in enterprise data warehousing . Data modeler for data warehousing . ERWin modeling tool . Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence experience with dimensional data modeling and relational (3NF) data modeling. . Demonstrated understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling techniques, for both relational and dimensional models. . Demonstrated ability to work with business units to formulate business and data requirements and with database administrators to implement database schemas required . Demonstrated ability to document source/target integration and transformation specifications and effectively communication with ETL developers . Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with BI developers providing guidance on utilization of data designs to enable reporting requirements. . Experience in writing test plans for testing correctness of ETL processes and database contents . Strong understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures . Ability to develop SQL to inquire against relational databases . Experience working with data modeling tools such as ERwin . Experience with large Teradata implementations a plus Desired Skills . Strong preference for Teradata experience, although not strictly required.
