JOB TITLE:
 
Web Developer (WD) supporting a Federal agency that is in the process of migrating forms from the existing Client-Server (JetForm & Adobe) architecture to a system that is web-based. The new software/forms must provide the agency with a reliable, scalable architecture that permits users to access the system via the SSA Intranet. In addition, the software should provide the ability to leverage current agency technologies and be capable of adding functionality using standard development tools.

The WD interacts with the customer and reviews requirements documentation, and interacts with the customer to glean and assess requirements. Subsequently, applies required skills to develop and unit test web-based code, including converted forms.  The WD develops weekly status reports to report accomplishments.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Required Skills Java:
Java, J2EE, SOA, XML, Object Oriented Analysis, JMS, DB2, SQL, JDBC, JavaScript, CSS, Struts, MKS, HTML, SSL, WebSphere, and RAD.
 
Desired Skills:

-Knowledge and understanding of mainframe-based development and testing.
-Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to prepare reports, briefings, and demonstrations.
-Strong working knowledge of Windows and Office 2000 (Word and Excel).
-Working knowledge of CMM (Capability Maturity Model) or CMMI (CMM Integrated)
