The QA Engineer for Reference Data Services contributes to the quality assurance and testing efforts in supporting the RDS team's tick and reference data systems.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join an agile, highly professional team that collaborates with both Development and Quality Assurance professionals as well as Business representatives in the delivery of applications to internal clients. This person is responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality software, reporting to the project lead.

Responsibilities
Responsible for creating test plans, assessing testing coverage, and implementing manual test plans and authoring automated test scripts, and assessing the effectiveness of all testing efforts.
Responsible for coordinating load tests with other groups and systems.
Contribute to the overall testing efforts; ensuring a timely delivery of quality products.
Responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd Level support to the Production Support team of the Trading Desk Product Line.
Demonstrate continuous improvement of: processes, test automation development, product quality, and technology & resource skills.
Maintain excellent communications between team members both amongst Reference Data Services as well as outside the group.
Contribute and provide training of new products and feature enhancements to end users.
Generate product and feature requirements via an analysis of business requests.

Qualifications/Skills
2 -5 years of experience in quality assurance teams is required.
Proficiency with SQL/PL-SQL/Oracle is required.
Proficiency with Linux is required.
Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, JavaScript, Shell) is required.
Understanding of product development lifecycle, Agile methods, iterative development methods with a commitment to quality and excellence is required.
Working with reference and/or tick data systems is a huge plus.
Experience with Kdb+ database a plus; experience programming in q/k a huge plus.
Working in a global financial services company is a plus.
Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Excellent listening, written, analytical, strategic and verbal communication skills is required.
Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities and meet deadlines is required.
