Deployment Engineer: (based on a 10 hour day)

Principal Responsibilities
§ Operate and maintain current Network footprint including Cisco Switches and Routers, Checkpoint firewalls, Bluecoat proxies, etc.
§ Operate and maintain internal network, Internet DMZ network and customer B2B networks.
§ Daily interaction with both internal and external clients and vendors.
§ Apply and enforce the firm’s security best practices across all connectivity solutions.
§ Closely work with adjacent Technology teams including Voice and System Administrators.
§ Provide break-fix support for all Network related issues.
§ Support daily network Moves/Adds/Changes to provision new services.
§ Engage and liase with external managed service and telecom providers.
§ Plan and participate in BCP exercise.
Experience/Skills
§ Bachelors Degree required
§ Prefer an individual with 2+ years experience supporting network connectivity to various Financial Exchanges/Extranets and Market Data vendors
§ Demonstrate strong LAN/WAN troubleshooting skills
§ Technical expertise in TCP/IP – Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP), Multicast, VPN, ACLs, NAT
§ Knowledge of Checkpoint and PIX firewall administration preferred
§ Must have knowledge of industry best practices on network security, CISSP certification preferred
§ Must be proficient in the support and configuration of the entire suite of Cisco router and switch platforms. Must be able to create and deploy complex software configurations on these platforms
§ Must be able to utilize Ethernet probes and decode packet captures
§ Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
§ Strong project management skills: ability to identify deliverables and major milestones, create detailed project schedules, meet deadlines, provide periodic reports to senior management
§ Posses strong client orientation and business interaction skills
§ Ability to author and maintain technical documentation
