Job Title : Oracle DBA
Location : Hoboken, New Jersey
Duration: 6 months
Description :
-Excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills.
-Oracle 10g/11g RAC skills essential.
-RMAN experience strongly preferred.
-Unix/Linux operating system experience essential.
-Must have strong Unix/Linux shell scripting skills.
-Must have solid experience with formal, enterprise change management practices.
-Insurance industry experience would be beneficial..
-Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server would be beneficial. Data Base Administration:
-Review and promotion of changes to data, databases structures and Oracle database environments.
-Management & technical administration of the various Oracle services on Linux.
-Regular reporting on availability, performance, load and usage rates.
-Testing and deployment of upgrades and patches.
-Performance monitoring and tuning of all Oracle databases.
-Able to cope with significant volumes of routine daily run-the-business work but equally capable of undertaking complex analysis
and problem solving from time to time.
-Maintain strong communications with other teams in the Asia Pacific as applicable
-Other duties as may be required from time to time. Very good Oracle DBA technical knowledge like Oracle 8i,9i,10g,11g with RAC DB administration in 24 * 7 Production support with on call as per Rota
