Hotlist-Hotlist Sr. Web Systems Engineer w/ strong F5 Load Balancer

Hi All 

Location:  San Francisco, CA   

Duration: 12 months contract

    F5 - Load Balancers / Application Delivery Controllers

·         In depth engineering experience on F5 load balancers, including a general understanding of routing protocols BGP, OSPF, TCP, SSL, TLS, and in-depth working knowledge of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and  DNS.   

·         Applicant must have an understanding of load balancing strategies/ techniques, expertise in application switching / traffic management, knowledge of persistence and SSL certificates.

·         Application must have experience on F5 versions 10.2 and 9.4.  

·         Applicant needs to be able to complete basic configurations on the F5 (creating VIP, pools, profiles, monitors, etc), including OS upgrades, trunking, and general troubleshooting of the devices.  

·         Advanced skills of designing, coding, and troubleshooting iRules and iControls are required.  

·         A high degree of F5 experience is required for this position.

·         Applicant needs great attention to detail when creating install guides and standards for the various environments.  

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills when supporting the different technologies in preproduction, and when assisting the production support group.  

Nice to have skills:

·         F5 ASM implementation and application firewall experience.

·         Knowledge of additional competitive technologies is desired
