Microsoft's SDET / Tester (Functional Automation skill)
Location: Bellevue WA
Duration: 4 Months+
Rate: DOE
Description:-
Develop and execute Automated Software Testing in Order to Identify Software Problems and their causes.
Education/Experience:-
o Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
o 8-10 years experience required
Responsibility level:-
o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
o Exercises leadership skills to guide the automation effort
Skills:-
o Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Required)
o Strong knowledge of computer development software, such as C sharp, SQL, .NET, etc (Required)
o Strong knowledge of software test automation at all levels; database, api and UI (Required)
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:-
o Participate in Agile sprints to determine what testing can and should be automated
o Determine the appropriate layer that should be tested based on what is being developed in the sprint
o Utilize existing testing tool suite to automated testing (functional and api), when possible
o Develop testing tool to validate software ,when needed.
NOTE: These individuals responsibilities will be similar to Microsoft's SDET job, however, they do need to have functional automation skills also.
