Role: SQL Developer/DBA

Location: Richmond ,VA

Rate: $45/hr

Start Date:- ASAP

There will be 3 level of interviews: 2 internal( out of which 1 will be webcam).3^rd round Client interview

 

REQUIREMENT:

·         Client is looking for 2 candidates that can provide SQL Server 2008/2005 query performance tuning against multi-terabyte data warehouse databases (Legacy systems, then Hubs).

·         The candidates will also assist with ongoing DBA tasks such as backup & recovery tasks, vendor system upgrade/support, update trending data, post user updates, and perform legacy system migration requests.

 

SKILLS:

·         Candidate who is able to work independently once provided orientation to a subject matter.

·         Communicate effectively with developers and business power users concerning difficult issues surrounding query performance

·         Hands-on technical experience in SQL Server 2008 and 2005 database engine (SSIS may be helpful but not required, no SSAS, no SSRS) .

·         Hands-on query performance tuning experience, such as understanding query plans, performance DMVs, SQL Profiler (hardware upgrades are not an option) .

·         Hands-on experience with very large databases

·          Have Hands-on experience with data warehouses and health care data
