Intranet Communication Specialist:
The Intranet Communication Specialist controls the flow of information on the intranet and leads the advancement of Consumer Lending & Banking Operation's information sharing. The Intranet Communications Specialist acts as subject matter expert; strategically publishing, updating, an archiving published documents. This position compares requests for new content against existing content to ensure a smooth integration.
This position is also responsible for monitoring system responsiveness and availability.
The Intranet Communications Specialist drives strategic use of all Intranet sites across Consumer Lending & Banking Operations to support a high performance culture.
1. Information Management
a. Researches, reviews, implements and manages the intranet information sharing initiatives.
b. Consults with business partners on improving information sharing through timely, accurate, and usable Intranet sites/content; ensures an effective communications environment through strategic organization, functionality and quality information.
c. Publishes, edits, and formats all documents following set policies, procedures, and timelines; works with business partners to ensure Intranet content submissions are accurate, complete, and approved.
d. Drafts news item content or edits submitted content to promote one consistent voice in messaging.
e. Processes requests for publication in a timely manner, including emergency postings when emergent issues occur.
f. Compares new submissions with existing information to determine best presentation of new information in relationship to existing information.
g. Tracks and reports statistics on incoming requests and amount of time it takes to publish documents.
2. Drives use of Intranet sites to support strategies, drive consistent voice, and serve as an efficient and effective reference tool.
a. Consults with business partners regarding system enhancements and upgrades; works with them to determine reasonable system upgrade and enhancement requests that balance cost with business needs.
b. Coordinates regular focus groups to obtain feedback on Intranet efficiencies, enhancements, suggestion and limitations from account managers and managers; reorganizes page layout and organization structure to support account manager process efficiencies.
c. Promotes the Intranet as a key tool to drive a high-performance culture.
d. Performs periodic review of existing information for validity and relevance; archives outdated information, keeping it available for reference if necessary; maintain repository of archived material and serves as vehicle to pull information and documentation.
3. Monitors system responsiveness
a. Serves as technical resource concerning Intranet and related functions
b. Monitors Intranet for availability and responsiveness.
c. Open tickets for irregular response times, reduced availability, or other Intranet issues; follows up on tickets to ensure timely resolution.
d. Keeps management information of ticket situations.
Job Experience / Environment
a. 2-4 years of relevant work experience working in a call center, team oriented environment.
b. Strong experience in spreadsheets, word processing, HTML, Dreamweaver, Java, adobe writer, and Photoshop management software.
c. Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills
d. Able to work with multiple projects simultaneously, with competing and conflicting deadlines.
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent training and /or work experience.

1. Professional, personal demeanor and customer service orientation essential.
2. Ability to work in fast paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment.
3. Impeccable level of discretion and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
4. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
