OVERVIEW:
This role will be working in an agile/lean development environment and will be expected to:
Actively participate as part of a scrum team; contribute during daily scrum stand up meetings; collaborate with project team members, other scrum teams and other QA resources
Support test drive development methodologies by focusing on defect prevention rather than defect detection
Define and execute appropriate testing to support agile development
Create, update and execute tests, both manual and automated
Support team members by assisting with any work necessary to reach team goals

REQUIRED:
6+ years Quality Assurance Engineer Experience
2+ years agile software development
2+ years XP/Test Driven Development practices
2+ years Scrum/Kanban work management practices
5+ years cumulative testing experience which includes manual testing in both black & white box, functional, regression, integration and performance testing
5+ years writing Functional Test Plans, Test Cases and Defects
1+ years web app / browser based testing
5+ years experience working with QA testing tools like HP Quality Center, QTP, vTask or Selenium
1+ years writing SQLs for data and acceptance testing
Knowledge of automation practices
Knowledge of the FitNesse Acceptance Testing Framework
Demonstrated large project testing for enterprise level systems where multiple upstream and downstream applications are supported and/or affected required
Ability to clearly articulate expert knowledge and share experiences working with different methodologies required
Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
Work with business partners, systems analyst, designers and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and ensure that quality assurance processes are incorporated
Estimate quality assurance efforts
Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategy, test conditions and test scripts for approved projects
Enthusiasm to dig into technical specifications and to troubleshoot problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to recognize and complete tasks without assignment
Flexibility to switch tasks as needed

PREFERRED:
Prior Retail Industry Experience
Ability to work in a customer-facing collaborative environment working with Analysts, Product Owners and technical team to enhance UI solution design and prototypes
QA Team Lead experience
