Finance Transformation BA

location: Warrenville, IL

Duration :8 months

 

This project focuses on decommissioning a legacy mainframe accounting system used by our truck, parts, warranty, and finance groups and converting them to a new system. The Business Analyst (BA) performs analysis and design of business systems. The BA will be assigned to small and medium projects with supervision. Acting as the liaison between the client, stakeholders, development team and technical analysts, the BA is responsible for the logical design of business processes and systems that satisfy customer requirements. The BA remains involved throughout a projects lifecycle and is accountable that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business. Primary Duties include:
 - Responsible for gathering functional and technical requirements from subject matter experts, and driving the development of work stream deliverables
 - Assist the Project Manager with research and documentation.
 - Participates in documentation for design, build, testing and knowledge transfer of new business requirements
 - Review and Document requirements and solution architecture to understand required business processes for new initiatives
- Create business process flows, activity diagrams, use cases and navigational models
 - Must be able to explain impact of changes to the project plan to the Business Sponsor, Project Manager or Program Manager
 - Analyze existing business processes to evaluate current capabilities and identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
 - Serve as a subject matter expert in support of the development of requirements, test plans and training materials
 - Support the translation of use cases into test scenarios for acceptance and end-to-end testing
 - Participate in the execution of User Acceptance Testing and end-to-end testing
 
 
 Mandatory Skills:


- At least 8 years of IT experience
 - Strong facilitation and analysis skills
 - Ability to balance competing priorities, in a highly matrixed organization, and manage process team deliverables for multiple work streams simultaneously
 - Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
 - Deep experience working on deliverables for a software implementation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Visio/Enterprise Architect (EA) to create process documentation utilizing Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
 - Work experience as a consultant for a large consulting firm required.
 
Secondary Skills:


- Manufacturing experience
 - Project experience that includes replacing a legacy mainframe application a plus
 - Project experience in implementing a financial system desired.
 - Experience with ETL, SOA, Business Rules Manager, PeopleSoft Financials, Data warehousing is a plus.
