Client looking for Java Developers with experience in developing web applications on J2EE platform that involve integrating with 3rd party web services. For this project developer is required to build new Java services that integrate with internal products & 3rd party products using web services. Developer is expected to thoroughly test services using Unit & Integration testing and then perform scaled performance and load testing. Need to closely work with Business & Quality Analysts on day to day basis. Knowledge of various open source libraries and frameworks is very valuable. Strong communication skills with English as first language are required. Ability to understand oral and written business requirements is needed in many situations and so we review soft skills in the review. Financial domain background a plus.


Experience & Qualifications:
Several years experience building high-availability Java applications that interact with multiple systems.
In-depth knowledge of web presentation methods (HTML, XSL, etc.).
Experience with software development on commercial or enterprise projects
Experience with multi-tier system design and implementation.
Proven ability to work independently and part of a team to successful implement projects.

Technical skills and abilities:
In-depth knowledge of Java including JUNIT, ANT
In-depth knowledge of XML including XSLT and XPATH. Nice to have includes PL/SQL
Deployment familiarity of J2EE
Familiarity with major database vendors such as MS SQL Server and Oracle
Knowledge of enterprise application design patterns.
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
Exceptional problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities:
Work with members of the project team and business owners to refine and clarify business requirements.
Produce technical specifications and provide input into general architectural decisions.
Provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
Code and test software to meet Client standards and within acceptable defect tolerances of design specifications.
Work with IT and business test groups to support quality and acceptance tests.
Provide technical leadership and mentor others in general technical skills.
Properly track progress, effort, issues, resolutions and communicate status to project leadership

Required:
Spring Framework and Spring MVC
Tomcat or JBoss
JUnit (unit testing)

Highly Preferred:
Velocity (templating)
Ajax libraries like YUI!, prototype, or JQuery
Eclipse IDE
Maven
Mockito (unit testing mocking tools)
Axis2 or Spring WS
Apache Commons
SoapUI (webservice testing)

Extra (Nice to have):
Subversion (source control)
AntHill Pro
Emma or Cobertura (code coverage)
FitNesse (integration testing)
PMD or Checkstyle (static code analysis)
Quartz (scheduler)
